      Description

Hardy just mentioned this in #dspace IRC.

If you look at the newly generated 1.8.0 RC1 Zip/Tarball installers in SourceForge:
      http://sourceforge.net/projects/dspace/files/DSpace%20Release%20Candidate/1.8.0-rc1/

You'll notice the 'release.zip' is currently structured differently than the 'src-release.zip'. I'm not sure if this was something we meant to change, or if it was an accidental change during the Maven 3 work.

The 'src-release.zip' has the following "normal" folder structure:

      • /dspace/
      • /dspace-api/
      • /dspace-xmlui/
      • etc..

However the 'release.zip' only includes the contents of the [dspace-source]/dspace/ directory, and has this folder structure:

      • /bin/
      • /config/
      • /docs/
      • /etc/
      • /modules/
      • etc..

In the past, this 'release.zip' just included one folder:

      • /dspace/

It seems like we'd probably still want them to be structured similarly as in the past, in order to keep installation instructions consistent (and to ensure there is a common definition of the [dspace-source] directory)?
