      Description

The ElasticSearch just does not work. I wanted to play with it a little and followed the steps described https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC5x/Elasticsearch+Usage+Statistics. As a result my statistics page (…/handle/23668378/2*/stats*, XMLUI) was displayed completely blank. I checked logs for error messages and – besides one StackOverflowError:

ERROR org.dspace.app.xmlui.cocoon.DSpaceCocoonServletFilter @ Serious Error Occurred Processing Request! org.springframework.web.util.NestedServletException: Handler processing failed; nested exception is java.lang.StackOverflowError

      I got this:

      2016-08-12 06:30:33,605 ERROR org.dspace.statistics.ElasticSearchLoggerServiceImpl @ RunTimer in ESL: org.elasticsearch.index.mapper.MapperParsingException: failed to parse [id] at org.elasticsearch.index.mapper.core.AbstractFieldMapper.parse(AbstractFieldMapper.java:415) at org.elasticsearch.index.mapper.object.ObjectMapper.serializeValue(ObjectMapper.java:707) at org.elasticsearch.index.mapper.object.ObjectMapper.parse(ObjectMapper.java:500) at org.elasticsearch.index.mapper.DocumentMapper.parse(DocumentMapper.java:541) at org.elasticsearch.index.mapper.DocumentMapper.parse(DocumentMapper.java:490) at org.elasticsearch.index.shard.service.InternalIndexShard.prepareCreate(InternalIndexShard.java:392) at org.elasticsearch.action.index.TransportIndexAction.shardOperationOnPrimary(TransportIndexAction.java:193) at org.elasticsearch.action.support.replication.TransportShardReplicationOperationAction$AsyncShardOperationAction.performOnPrimary(TransportShardReplic ationOperationAction.java:511) at org.elasticsearch.action.support.replication.TransportShardReplicationOperationAction$AsyncShardOperationAction$1.run(TransportShardReplicationOperat ionAction.java:419) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor.runWorker(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:1142) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.run(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:617) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:745) Caused by: java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "759b21d0-c07b-4e71-8714-db885007d7b9" at java.lang.NumberFormatException.forInputString(NumberFormatException.java:65) at java.lang.Integer.parseInt(Integer.java:580) at java.lang.Integer.parseInt(Integer.java:615) at org.elasticsearch.common.xcontent.support.AbstractXContentParser.intValue(AbstractXContentParser.java:126) at org.elasticsearch.index.mapper.core.IntegerFieldMapper.innerParseCreateField(IntegerFieldMapper.java:310) at org.elasticsearch.index.mapper.core.NumberFieldMapper.parseCreateField(NumberFieldMapper.java:235) at org.elasticsearch.index.mapper.core.AbstractFieldMapper.parse(AbstractFieldMapper.java:405) ... 11 more 2016-08-12 06:30:33,605 ERROR org.dspace.statistics.ElasticSearchLoggerEventListener @ General Exception: failed to parse [id]
