Affects Version/s: Fedora 4.0.0
Fix Version/s: Fedora 4.1.0
16 processors, Intel(R) Xeon(R) E5520 @ 2.27GHz
Tomcat memory settings: -Xms1024m -Xmx4096m -XX:NewSize=512m -XX:MaxNewSize=512m -XX:PermSize=512m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m
Fedora Release: 4.0.0 | Build #83664b9e (no customization)
Sprint:Sprint 2015 - 1
Created stress test script (see attached file).
The script loops over the following tasks 10,000 times:
- open a transaction
- create an object
- commit the transaction
Fedora starts consistently throwing error around cycle #950.
After that, the app becomes unresponsive and Tomcat needs to be killed. See logfile excerpt.
Interestingly, on my ArchLinux development VM with less RAM and processor this does not happen.
Happy New Year!
