FITS fails to regenerate when you 'regenerate all derivatives' for the same object in multiple concurrent processes

    Details

    • Type: Bug
    • Status: Open
    • Priority: Minor
    • Resolution: Unresolved

      Description

FITS script fails to run to regenerate all derivatives when concurrent processes of Regenerate all Derivatives is running

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Create multiple users (I did this with 4 users, 2 browser tabs per user)
      2. In the same islandora object, go to manage>properties>regenerate all derivatives. Do this at the same time processes in all of your browser tabs

What is expected: All derivatives gets regenerated, including TECHMD which gets regenerated x number of times, x being the number of processes you run
What actually happens: All derivatives regenerate, but FITS fails to regenerate

I get the following error for each regenerate all derivatives process I run:

      TYPE islandora_derivatives
      DATE Thursday, March 30, 2017 - 17:29
      USER non
      LOCATION http://localhost:8000/batch?id=70&op=finished
      REFERRER http://localhost:8000/batch?op=start&id=70
MESSAGE Failed to create technical metadata with FITS script.
      SEVERITY error
      HOSTNAME 10.0.2.2
      OPERATIONS

      Notes:

This does not happen when you go into islandora/object/pid/manage/datastreams and regenerate the single TECHMD datastream
This does not happen when you Regenerate all derivatives in a single process
