The REST API in Fedora 3.6 started to allow you to make a call to getDatastreams. This is documented here:
We can use this to optimize how many calls we need when load an object. Currently we are loading getDatastreamHistory, but we probably want to get all the datastreams instead.
The first step in this would be to break the API out into different versions based on the version of Fedora, and then add the new getDatastreams function to the API class for the correct Fedora version. This allows us a lot of flexibility going forward.
